My Third Class

Hello everyone! I hope you have had a great time teaching in every of the groups you had to teach to. I want to share with you my third experience in teaching, and let me tell you that I loved this third class because everything was very nice! I started making a warm up where students were asking questions to each other but they did not have to say YES or NO. Students likes the activity and the all participated. But after that something really cool happened, and it was that someone who has come from United States wanted to talk with my students and they looked very excited for that; I think that created a more positive environment in my class because after listening to the lady all of them were more willing to participate in the class. Everything went well and even the teacher told me that this one the best of the three classes I gave. At the end, I wish them the best and thanked them for the attention they gave, so I can say that this teaching experience was amazingly good.

My second class

This time was not as the first one becasue I already knew more the group and they even had more confidence with me. This second time I had to talk a little bit of something that I also did in the first time which was modals, I brought some written exercises they had to complete and they did it well. Something happened to me in this second class, they were supposed to make an activity in which they were going to take some information and read it in front of the class, but something happened and I forgot those copies. For some minutes I got very nervous because I already had what I was going to do and suddenly everything changed, but what I did is that I told them to imagine the information because it was about a medicine, so I told them to think in a medicine and that from that they imagined, they were going to take the information; thanks God everyone understood and the activity could be developed in a nice way. This second class was very good, but I want to get even more prepared for the next one because it will be the last class with that group so it has to be unforgettable. I'll tell you later about it.

My first class

There are many special dates that we keep in our memory, but one of the greatests for me is February 14, 2014. You may think this is maybe because of San Valentines, but that was not my reason; the date means a lot to me because it was the day in which I had the opportunity to teach for the first time in the university. I was prepared for everything, but as you may know, you always get nervous when you are going to do something for the first time, and in my case, that was not the exception. Even though it was a little bit hard at the beginning because I had some problems with some audio material I brought, and I started 5 minutes late, the time was passing by and I was getting more self-confidence so at the end of the class I could finish right on time and I could notice that the group of students liked the class. As it was the first time, I made some mistakes that were also caused for nervous; for example, I made a roleplay that took too much time for the number of students that are in the group, and the teacher told me that in the feedback, which is something really good for us to improve in our teaching. Besides that I can say that the group of students is very nice because they are always attentive, so my experience of the first teaching was very nice.
